District News RSS feed for Emergency News CoronaVirus Precautions 2/28/20 ~ Message From Superintendent Martin ~ Dear Parents, The Coronavirus has become a health concern worldwide. Although there are no cases in Louisiana, we will follow precautions as advised by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and our local and state health officials. Currently, the protocols are very similar to flu precautions: • Cover coughs and sneezes • Wash hands often • If sick, stay home - (Absences due to illness are excused with a parent letter up to 10 days per school year; doctor excuses are always excused) • Avoid sharing personal household items such as cups, glasses, eating utensils • Cleaning/disinfecting of frequently touched objects Your child’s health is our highest priority. The school district will continue to closely monitor this situation and take all appropriate actions as needed.
